“On the door of my studio I have placed the words of Vaclav Havel: “If we are to change our world view, images have to change; the artist now has a very important job to do. He’s not a little periferal figure entertaining rich people, he’s really needed”.
I move between the two hemispheres of the brain, on the cutting edge of the visible and the legible. From this control room I toy with making connections. I make sidetracks between perception and interpretation.
In fact I am continually active in discovering new qualities in an artwork, whereby I transpose signs and codes into new audio and visual translations.
Increasingly I feel the responsibility to contribute my creativity to society. When I develop a series of artworks or a performance, I bring with it the context of the artwork. In that way I try to keep my source as authenic as possible. Opportunities find me.”
